William
"Bill" Neal Green, 61, Minot, died Saturday, August 5th, 2006, in a
Minot hospital from complications due to Pancreatic Cancer.
Bill was born on September 13th, 1944, to Jack and Betty Jo (Lamb) Wilson,
in Santa Fe New Mexico. After living most of his childhood in Santa Fe, his
family moved to the Las Vegas, NV area. Bill graduated from Rancho High
School, Las Vegas, NV in 1962. As a young adult, Bill enlisted in the
United States Air Force. He served for 4 prestigious years and was very
proud to be a soldier.
Bill was united in marriage to Christine Marshall on June 17, 1967, in
Minot. After receiving honorable discharge from the military, Bill went to
work at White Drug in Minot. He worked in the photo lab for several years
before going on to open his own camera store, "Bill's Camera Shop". When
the shop closed, Bill worked at Dakota
Drug. From there he went on to the Minot Post office, where he was employed
at his time of death as a Rural Carrier. Bill loved his job and the people
on his route brought him great joy.
Bill was very active in the National Rural Letter Carrier Association, and
he was a current union official. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and
enjoyed watching the Hendrick boys with NASCAR as well. Bill was also big
into genealogy and discussing
politics. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren,
Brock and Madisyn. They were his pride and joy.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Chris, sons Brian (friend, Renae)
Green and Brad (Tracy) Green both of Minot; daughter, Wendy (Robert) Bails
of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren Brock Green and Madisyn Bails; sisters, Jo
Beth Bush of Phoenix, AZ, Donna Luft of Washington State, and Cris Alderete
of Toronto, Canada; numerous nieces and nephews; grand dogs, Laska and Dante
.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jo and father Jack.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, August 10, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in
Little Flower Catholic Church, Minot.
Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Vigil Prayer Service: Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral
Home.
Visitation: Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home,
Minot.
