Delores Krpoun, 78, Minot, formerly of Drake, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 18, 2008, in a St. George, Utah Rehab Facility.Delores Krpoun

Delores was born August 15, 1929, in Harvey, ND to Otto and Ida (Lautt) Schlag.  She graduated from Anamoose High School in May 1949.

Delores was united in marriage to Roy Krpoun on June 17, 1949, in Minot, ND.  They made their home on the family farm located SE of Drake.  Delores spent her years helping her husband grow small grain crops and working in Drake running a small cream station for a time before, going to work at the Drake Coop Creamery.  She worked at the station for 43 years, serving 17 years as manager.  She retired in November 1994. 

Delores spent several years caring for her husband, as a very loyal devoted and loving wife.  Those were very trying years for her and she met them with great courage and strength as she did with every challenge she ever faced.  Roy died on February 20, 2000.  Delores moved into Drake later that year. 

Delores was a member of the United Methodist Church in Drake.  Her hobbies and special interests included gardening and helping others.  She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. 

Surviving family includes:  Sisters:  Helen (Mike) Speigner, Riverside, CA, Mae Blough, Drake, ND and Connie (Gary) Adam, Minot, ND; Brothers:  Lester Schlag, Kansas City, KS and Galen (Chris) Schlag, St. George, Utah; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Arlen Schlag.

Funeral:  Friday, April 4, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Drake, ND;
Interment:  Drake Community Cemetery;
Memorials:  Memorials are preferred to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV);
