Estella WeishaarEstella Weishaar, 86, Minot, formerly of the Coleharbor area, died Friday, July 18, 2008 in a Minot Hospital.

Estella was born March 22, 1922 on the family farm near Emmet, North Dakota, the daughter of Christian and Amelia (Boger) Abel.  She was raised and educated at Emmet and assisted with the operation of the farmstead during her younger years. 

She was united in marriage to Adolph Weishaar on December 19, 1941 at Sidney, Montana.  They purchased a farm east of Garrison, near Coleharbor, where they lived and farmed until 1965.  They moved to Minot that same year, where they established Weishaar’s Painting and Decorating.

Estella was a longtime member of West Minot Church of God, where she was active with the Women’s Ministries group.  She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends.

Her loving family includes: Husband of sixty-six years: Adolph; Sons: Roger (Sharon) Weishaar,   Loren (Brenda) Weishaar, both of Minot. Grandchildren: DeLynn (Michelle) Weishaar and their children: Garrett, Avery, & Zoe; Dallas (Rhonda) Weishaar and their children: Paige, Easton, Regan, & Kennedy; Kent (Sara) Weishaar and their children: Luc & Kate; Kelli (Robert) Bohlender, and their children: Jackson & Drew; Trisha (Kaylan) Carlson and their daughter: Tavia, all of Minot.  Sisters: Emma Moll, Garrison and Erna (Tom) Wood, Minot.  She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.

Estella was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Anna, Hertha, Freida, and Ida and brothers: William and Henry.

Funeral service: Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in West Minot Church of God.          
Interment:
Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.                                                                                 
Visitation:
Monday from 2:00-7:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
