Frank was born April 18, 1925, the son of George and Pearl (Harris) New, on the family farm in Waterford Township, near Glenburn, North Dakota. He was raised and educated in that area and entered into active duty service with the U.S. Army and served his country during World War II from 1944-1947. After receiving his honorable medical discharge he returned to North Dakota and was united in marriage to Corrine Brand on July 30, 1947, in First Presbyterian Church, Minot. Throughout the years, they made their home in Burlington, Garrison, and Minot, where he was employed for several area auto businesses doing body work including: Fisher Motors, Parker Motors, Broadway Body Shop, Westlie Motors, Don Moe Dodge all of Minot and New Body of Garrison. Frank was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion of Garrison and First Presbyterian Church, Minot. He enjoyed spending time with family. His loving family includes: Wife of 59 years, Corrine; Children: Jack New, Minot, Dallas (Mary) New, Silverton, OR, Ronald (Sandee) New, Woodburn, OR, Sharon Williams, Atlanta, GA, Karen New, Stockbridge, GA, Sandra (James) Lambert, Minot; Twenty-Two Grandchildren; Nineteen Great Grandchildren; Sisters: Vera Benton, Minot, Mary Hambek, Andover, MN; Brother: David (Helen) New, Surrey. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers: Art, Walter, Jesse and George Jr. and Sisters: Lorraine Davis and Lucille Goettle; Son-in-law: Tommy Williams III.
Funeral Service: Tuesday October 10, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in First
Presbyterian Church, Minot.
