Gladys was an active member of her community as a member of the Deering Congregational Church where she was a member of the Women’s Guild and served as pianist for many years.  In addition, she shared her talent as a pianist with the Deering Lutheran Church and at Trinity Homes.  She was a member of the Deering Senior Citizens, PTO, Community Betterment Club and Army Mothers.  Gladys was a skilled seamstress and especially enjoyed gardening and yard work.
