Larry Maynard Holtz, #17 19th Street N.W. Minot, passed away in his sleep on Jan. 4 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was 73. 

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Deloris; and two daughters, Brenda Duggins of Bradenton, Fla., and Tracey Holtz-Liebler, of Roseville, Calif. 

Larry was a grandparent to four boys: Matthew Holtz, Adam Lembcke, Casey Liebler and Carson Liebler.

He is also survived by brothers Arthur Holtz of Minot, Richard (Arlyce) Holtz of Minot; sisters Dawn Holtz of Minot, Shirley Hoff of Billings, Mont., Donna (Jewett) Setleff of Roseville, Calif., and Lois Wimer of Amarillo, Texas; sons-in-law David Liebler of Roseville, Calif., and Patrick Duggins of Bradenton, Fla.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mabel Holtz. 

A Minot native, Larry was raised and educated in the Magic City; he graduated from Minot High and entered active duty service with the US Navy, honorably serving his country during the Korean Conflict for three years.   Larry returned to Minot and received his schooling as a dental lab technician, a career he dedicated himself to for more than four decades. 

Larry was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, the Minot Legion and Eagles Aerie, and a former member of the Minot VFW Post #753. 

Funeral service:  11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Minot.
Interment:  Rosehill Memorial Park.
Visitation:  Scheduled for 2-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at the Thomas Family Funeral Home in Minot.
