Peggy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on December 13, 1941, to Cecil and Sadie Goddard. In her youth she attended schools across much of Canada, 23 in all, as her family followed her father’s work from the Alcan Highway to the oilfields and grain fields of Saskatchewan. She was a voracious reader, keeping herself informed and dynamic her entire life. She taught at Bishop Ryan in Minot and at Minot State University. She is survived by her husband Fred, Minot; Mother: Sadie Goddard, Mossbank, Sask.; Son: Shawn Wood, San Antonio, TX; Daughters: Cheryl Simon, Atlanta, GA, Cara Freiz, Greenwood, SC; Brothers: Ken, Stamford, CT, Don, Victoria, BC; Step-daughter: Traci White, El Paso, TX; Stepson: David Brooks, Minneapolis, MN; 6 grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
