Nancy Howery, 64, Minot, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in a Minot
hospital. Nancy was born on January 9, 1944, to Richard and Bertha (Sannes) Arden. She was raised and educated in Westhope. Nancy was united in marriage to Wilfred “Sonny” Howery on October 31, 1959. They made their home in Antler until 1978, when they moved to Williston. Nancy began work in the food industry, prior to moving to Minneapolis, MN in 1984. She was employed by the University of Minnesota as a supervisor of medical records until she moved to Minot in 1993 to be closer to family where she was employed by Joey’s Only several years. Nancy retired in 2006, but continued to assist her daughter at Arby’s restaurant in Minot. Nancy’s special interests included fishing, camping at the Antler creek, gardening, crafts, and doing crossword puzzles. She enjoyed music and was a very talented piano player. She will be deeply missed by all who shared in her life. She was survived by her children: Cory (Sheree) Howery, Wing, ND, Debbie Green, Troutdale, OR, Robert (Pam) Howery, Mohall, Sherry Howery, Minot, Tammy (Pete) Peterson, Mandan, and Laura (Michael) Siercks, Souris; 16 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters: Ann (Brad) Terrell, Bozeman, MT and Joann (Mike) Zorn, Upton, WY; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, three brothers, and a grandchild. Visitation for friends will be held on Sunday, July 27, 2008 from noon – 5:00 p.m. in Thomas Family Funeral Home, Minot.
