When a loved one is dying, it is often difficult to consider one’s own needs
and wants. However, when these needs go unattended to, one may not be able
to enjoy the last moments with their dying loved one. This site offers
some useful tips from various literature that may help you along your journey
prior to the death of your loved one.
"GriefNet"
GriefNet is an Internet community of persons dealing with grief, death, and
major loss. They have 37 e-mail support groups and two web sites. Our integrated
approach to on line grief support provides help to people working through loss
and grief issues of all kinds. Our companion site, KIDSAID,
provides a safe environment for kids and their parents to find information and
ask questions. GriefNet is supervised by Cendra (ken'dra) Lynn, Ph.D., a
clinical grief psychologist, death educator, and traumatologist who lives in
Michigan, USA.
"KIDSAID"
KIDSAID is a safe place for kids to share and to help each other deal with grief
resulting from any of their losses. It's a place to share and deal with feelings, to show
artwork and stories, to talk about pets, and to meet with one's peers. There will
even be some games and contests. KIDSAID is owned and operated by GriefNet.

Grief support after the death of a child. The mission
of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families in the positive resolution of
grief following the death of a child and to provide information to help others
be supportive. The compassionate Friends is a national nonprofit, self-help
support organization which offers friendship and understanding to families who
are grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause. There is no
religious affiliation. There are no membership fees or dues, and all bereaved
family members are welcome.
